How Do I Know Starnest Isn't A Scam.

Is there a Starnest Scam? Can Starnest be trusted? Can one trust Starnest to find a nice real estate property and help secure that property without incident? We looked heavily into the Starnest company to see if it is a scam and here is what we found.

First thing we did was check up on their credentials. Are they are registered business? Yes. So, being that Starnest is a registered business they will have a great deal of difficulty operating a scam company with the federal government aware of their existence. In our experience companies which are scams do not even have a business license because they do not want the United States government to be aware of their existence let alone aware of the owners identity. This was the first thing we found when we looked into the Starnest company and so far we didn't see any Starnest scam.

So we decided to look even further to see if we could find something in the companies domain that would alert us to the fact that Starnest is a scam. So we did some digging and found that the Starnest domain has been registered for the last 6 years. This is a positive sign for the company. If Starnest were a scam they would of been put out of business years ago and the fact that they have been in business for over six years is a very good sign that Starnest is a legitimate company.

Then we decided to make contact with Starnest to see if we could find anything. First we sent the Starnest offices an email stating that we wanted to purchase a property in Manhattan and our budget was one million dollars. We did this to see if any aggression arose in the Starnest company. If they were a scam they would of jumped all over the possibility to take our million dollars and run off so the trap was set. Next we received a professional phone call from a Starnest manager. The call came about 48 hours after the email was sent which shows initiative but doesn't make them look bad. The manager on the other end was very professional and offered his services but was not pushy and did not seem to have the aggression that other companies sometimes have (especially scam companies.)

After the initial phone call we decided to visit the Starnest offices to see for ourselves the validity of the Starnest scam claims. We could not have been more impressed. We were greeted warmly by 2 Starnest employees and their professionalism and kindness was beyond measure. Not only did we determine that Starnest is not a scam but we recommend Starnest to anyone seeking help in the New York Real Estate industry.

I've heard Starnest is a Scam, is it true?

You can't believe everything you hear... Many companies are called scams everyday and Starnest has had its fair share of slanderous comments so far not one of them has panned out or been proven to be true. Is there a Starnest Scam? Only you can be the final judge but let's evaluate the evidence.

Starnest is a Real Estate brokerage company based in New York, NY. New York has the toughest real estate laws and ordinances in the nation. Because of their limited space real estate is the most regulated industry in New York. So simply opening a company involved in real estate in New York city is a very paper driven process and you can be sure the city of New York as looked every company over with a fine tooth comb. But what if the city of New York looked at Starnest and missed something? That means we will need to do our own searching and see if we can find any 'red flags' that will alert us to any wrongdoings Starnest is involved in. If we can find a few red flags, then we can safely say there is a Starnest Scam, but if we don't find anything and their business proves to be above water, all we can do is take the evidence at face value and do business with them.

Because Starnest has a website that is the best place to start looking. When we look at their domain a few good things appear. First and foremost their domain is not marked private. If their domain were marked private and we could not see the contents of the Starnest domain and its address, owner names and phone number we would have an instant red flag. But not only is their company information public information on their domain, but their domain is registered in the united states. This is a second good sign. Because any company that operates in the United States should have a domain registered in the Unites States. If a company is based in the United States and owns a domain that is registered outside of the United States you should run in the opposite direction as fast as you can. This is because that company wants to hid from the U.S. laws which leads one to believe they are doing something illegal or just unscrupulous. But Starnest has a U.S. based domain and with all of their information being public they seem at first glance to be a reputable company.

Next we call their phone number to see if a real person answers their phone. Many scam companies will have no one to answer their phones mainly because their office does not exist. If someone does answer their phone it may be a cell phone and many times it will simply go to a voice mail so the company can hid behind the voice mail service. But Starnest answers their phone and with a level of professionalism that leads one to believe that there is no Starnest Scam.
